Groundhopping app for iPhone, iPad and the browser
Your logbook for every ground, from the Bundesliga down to the Kreisklasse.
Log matches, even without signal. Count ground points and country points the way you count them. Find matches nearby and plan your next hop. No ads, no tracking, no cookie banner.
The iPhone and iPad app is in public beta on TestFlight, coming to the App Store soon. Sign in with Apple or a passkey, no e-mail address, no password.

Log a visit, even without signal
Pick the ground, tap the match in the fixtures: teams, score and competition are already filled in. No fixtures for the Kreisklasse? Then enter the match yourself. If there's no signal in the stadium, the app saves the visit on your phone and syncs it once you're back online.
- Photos and short videos with every visit
- GPS check-in, if you like
- Notes for beer, bratwurst and atmosphere

Statistics and country points
Ground points, country points, matches per year, country and competition. Count country points by football association (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland separately), by ISO country or by sovereign state. And you decide what counts: friendlies, youth, women's football, indoor, only matches you saw in full. Change a rule and your whole history is recounted.
- Three ways to count country points
- Your own counting rules, applied to every match you've logged
- Progress per league and association: which grounds you're still missing

A ground has a life story
If a stadium is demolished and rebuilt on the same site, that's a new ground. Your matches at the old one stay with the old one. Predecessor, successor, former names and events are on the ground page. In Essen, for example, Stadion an der Hafenstraße stands where the Georg-Melches-Stadion stood until 2012.
- Rebuilt on the same site = new ground
- Names, rebuilds and demolition with dates
- Spotted a mistake? Suggest a change, the community checks it

Find matches, plan hops
The match search shows what's on around you or any ground in the coming days, optionally only at grounds you haven't done yet. The hop planner chains two to six matches on one day or weekend so you make every kick-off.
- Free: 25 km radius, 7 days ahead
- With Premium: up to 300 km, 60 days ahead and the hop planner
- “I'm going”: see who else is heading there

You decide who sees what
Public, followers only or private: separately for your profile, visits, photos and attendances, and for each visit. Photos lose their location and all other metadata on upload, unless you choose otherwise.
- Sign in with Apple, Google or a passkey, no e-mail and no password
- GPS and metadata removed from your photos
- No ads, no tracking, no cookie banner

Bring your history
Import your matches from a Futbology CSV export or any other CSV file, such as your own spreadsheet. Map the columns once, grounds are suggested. Export everything as CSV or JSON at any time, free.
- Import in the browser and in the app
- Export as CSV or JSON, any time
- Your data belongs to you

Why GroundHopper.net?
Most groundhoppers today use two kinds of tools: a logbook app for their own matches, such as Futbology, and a large ground database on the web that the community has built over the years, such as Europlan.
GroundHopper.net brings both into one place: your logbook with statistics, photos and match search, and a ground database everyone adds to and corrects together. In the app and in the browser, with one account.
What's different here
- Grounds with a life story: a rebuild on the same site is a new ground, your old matches stay with the old one.
- Your own counting rules: friendlies, youth, women's football, indoor, full matches. Your whole history is recounted instantly.
- Country points counted three ways: football associations, ISO countries or sovereign states.
- Import from a Futbology export or a CSV file, export as CSV or JSON, free.
- No ads, no tracking, no cookie banner.
- Sign in without an e-mail address or password: with Apple, Google or a passkey.
- Location and metadata are removed from photos unless you choose otherwise.
- Visibility set separately for profile, visits, photos and attendances.
- Log visits offline; they sync once you're back online.
What's still missing
- The iPhone and iPad app is in public beta (TestFlight) right now, plus everything in the browser. Android follows later.
- The ground database grows with the community: currently around 5,700 grounds in 55 European countries, seeded from Wikidata. If yours is missing, you add it in a minute.
- Fixtures are available for the Bundesliga, 2. Bundesliga, 3. Liga and DFB-Pokal so far. Matches further down you enter yourself.
As of October 2026. Futbology and Europlan are services of other providers. We name them only to explain what GroundHopper.net is for.
